Coming prepared paid off, because one of Mrs. Felippe’s springs was broken and the other was near the breaking point as well. The good news is that her car was already parked outside, so we had a clear space from the beginning to work safely and efficiently in. As always for spring replacement, we started by disconnecting the opener and locking the door securely in place. These springs were a temperamental old pair, so removing them was tricky, but we got the job done and the door moving again without incident.
