Our team looked at the opener to work out what the problem was, and quickly spotted that the opener chain was hanging loose. That meant very little power from the opener was reaching the door, so it couldn’t lift properly. It is sometimes possible to adjust these chains to tension them again, but in this case, the chain was so old and rusty that Ms. Heard was better off just replacing it. He was happy to do so, and our team quickly swapped out the old chain for a new one. We lubricated and tensioned it, and the unit began to work perfectly once more.
